EVERYTHING YOU NEED
At Needles Quilting and Yarn shop we carry a wide variety of yarn, fabrics, patterns, and notions -- everything you need to tackle your next project. Founded by mother-daughter team Sandy and Rabecca, Needles is a cozy place to find an exciting new yarn, or just the right fabric. We offer classes personalized to your schedule and skill level, ranging from beginners' classes to advanced techniques. And if you're looking for project ideas or to connect with other crafters, we offer a great selection of quilting and knitting clubs and events, including monthly Stitch and Sip Afternoons and Evenings right here in the shop.
Right now, we are partnered with H.O.P.E., a domestic violence shelter located here in Rochelle. You can bring in your gently used or like-new items, such as: hats, gloves, mittens, scarves, or quilts for donation. If your donation is hand-made, then you will receive some Needles Bucks in appreciation! (Needles Bucks are good for $5 off of a purchase of $15 or more, and can be stacked.) Donations gathered at our store will not go to the HOPE Chest, but will go directly to the women and children that need them.
See you soon.
We're happy to announce that we will be participating in the Northern Illinois Quilt Shop Hop! It starts on June 1st, and will continue through August 31st. We also have passports available at the shop for you to pick up.
The best part? This year, the grand prize winner will be going on a quilting cruise!

Our third annual Cascade Yarns Yarn Tasting is coming on Saturday, June 6th! The tasting will be between 3PM and 6PM that day. Tickets are $5 each, but if you bring it to the event you will receive $5 off of your purchase of $10 or more. There will be lots of food, lots of fun, and new yarns to try!
Seating is limited, so stop in and pick up your tickets soon.
In this class, we'll learn to knit like a Peruvian! Peruvian knitting creates the exact same fabric you're used to seeing, but in a fun and interesting new way. It's easier on your hands, wrists, and back. You just might love to purl when you know this great technique!
We will make a simple cowl that will keep you engaged, but still be easy enough to call TV work.
We are continuing our Year of Men Who Knit with this great pattern by designer Jarod Flood. Jarod is our June Male Knitter! Let's celebrate his beautiful designs by knitting this fantastic Beaumont Tam.
This is a great color work tam that also has a beanie option that looks amazing. It's great with two solid colors, but really shines in a transition, and solid color as in our version here. All are welcome to join this great Knit-a-Long.
We're very excited to announce that will be participating in the Row by Row Experience this year! All 50 States, and 8 provinces of Canada will be represented this year.
We have our row ready for you to pick up starting on June 21st, and going all the way through September 8th. We will have two different sayings on our license plates, and the kits will be available soon. Check out their site above, or stop in for more details.
